Lagos Fringe

This highly interactive event, now in its 7th year, curates artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances, film & media events, as well as exhibitions over 6 days in November, including opportunities to build connections with global creatives through peer-to-peer training for emerging artists and the professional ones in Nigeria.

It also provides an opportunity to repurpose spaces for the development of new audiences in the creative space for Nigerian artists.

Participating countries; Nigeria, USA, South Africa, UK, Jamaica, Senegal, and Zimbabwe.

6 DAYS OF THEMED EVENTS

Literary Day 1 (Opening Day)

Participants and partners combine in this opening celebration of the diversity of people who have come from across the globe to call Lagos home for the duration of the festival. Awards will be presented.

Arts & Craft Day 2

Workshops & Training by distinguished professionals/facilitators. An Arts & Craft Market exhibition that will is be opened opento the general public for 5 days.

Women’s Day 3

Women’s day at the Fringe will highlights positive outcomes for women in the creative industry. All activities curated, produced, featured and directed by women. It is also the evening for Irie Vibes therapeutic event fused with reggae music vibes.

Music -Day 4

Workshops & music trainings. Followed by The Alternative Vibrations Concert ; an evening of dazzling fiesta of fun, colour and life featuring headline artists with over 2,000 attendees at the festival Hub.

Film -Day 5

Nollywood Yesterday Conversations, panel discussions, networking workshops and film screenings. Short films and feature length films are screened all through the festival at the hub. Industry experts will engage with new voices in the film and distribution business.

Fringe City -Day 6

Fringe City will bring the family together for a day of fun in one of the largest outdoor and indoor family festivals in Nigeria. With over 50 exhibitors, production companies and partners, Fringe City showcases extraordinary exhibitions in theatre, food, dance, film, photography, fashion, arts, crafts, music, literature, games and comics.

LAGOS FRINGE WEEKEND ACTIVITIES

The Lagos Fringe Variety Weekend promises a perfect opportunity to immerse in the Lagos cultural scene with a wide range of interests such as music, dance, comedy, theatre and delicious food.

Friday 22nd- November
-Alternative Music Concert featuring unique and emerging musical talent.
-Games and fun Competitions for food, drinks curated for those with hearty appetites. -Lagos Fringe Vendors market showcasing products and craft from local artisans.

Saturday 23rd – November
-Games and fun Competitions continue.
-Comedy club offering laughter and amusement.
-Centerstage for open mic showcasing young and vibrant artists (For GenZs) -Lagos Fringe Vendor market continues for shopping of unique and diverse goods.

Sunday 24th – November
-Karaoke for attendees to enjoy and showcase their vocal dexterity.
-Lagos Fringe Vendors market continues to offer a blend of entertainment and shopping experiences. -Lagos Fringe Closing Ceremony and Awards for outstanding contributions to the creative industry.
